ABQ Parents speak out at the PRC against private equity buyout of PNM

Albuquerque: Parents with their children spoke out at the PRC meeting this week against private equity Blackstone buyout of PNM — citing concern over rising electricity rates and New Mexicans footing the bill for Blackstone’s data center build out.

Concerns were raised during a week when the PRC hearing examiners have recommended that the PRC approve the sale of New Mexico Gas to the inexperienced private equity firm Bernhardt Capital Partners, BCP.
