🚨 We need your help to speak up for Southern New Mexico’s air and stop Project Jupiter’s mega-emissions. 🚨

Until March 2nd, the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) is accepting public comment on two air quality permit applications submitted by Project Jupiter developers that together request authorization for more than 13 MILLION tons per year of greenhouse gas emissions – a number larger than Albuquerque, Las Cruces, and Santa Fe’s yearly emissions combined – in a region that already fails to meet national air quality standards

If NMED approves these applications, Project Jupiter’s microgrids will result in destructive climate impacts, worsen ozone pollution, and violate health standards in a community that will pay for unchecked pollution with their health and lives.

We have just 11 days to submit public comment and send a clear message that we won’t stand by while developers attempt to evade critical public health protections for the sake of private profit.

Head to the link in our bio today to demand that NMED reject the permits outright and hold a public hearing that would allow impacted community members to learn about the risks and voice their concerns. ✊
