Hilcorp sued for spilling climate-killing methane

Their name? Hilcorp — sued by the EPA, DOJ, Alaska, Pennsylvania, New Mexico & more.

In the last 7 months in NM alone, Hilcorp has reported 96 spills — 47 illegal air emissions + 49 liquid spills, some contaminating land & threatening our state's scarce water.

Corrosion was the #1 cause. Translation: they can’t (or won’t) maintain their equipment to prevent pollution.
